I’ve been rewatching Nikita and it occured to me how rare it is for female characters to be allowed to be flawed. And not like ‘kind of awkward’ flawed, not like ‘makes mistakes protecting the people they care about’ flawed. I mean like female characters who have rage and darkness and sorrow inside them that’’s fucked them up to where they wonder if they’re even redeemable. Female characters who will admit that they hurt someone and they liked it. Like Nikita admitting that there’s a part of her that she never lets her loved ones see because she knows that it’s a part of her and she’s scared of it. I think it’s such a fucking tradgedy that women just aren’t allowed to be like that and we need more flawed female characters
