Feeling very accomplished with myself! Got my friends xmas gift printed and assembled!
Welp, my 3d printer's broken. Power cord for the toolhead got caught on the bed while it was moving forward and now it's frayed.
Upgraded from a Ender v3 Pro to a Bambu Labs A1, and it's really quite depressing how strongly Bambu wants you to create an account and use their proprietary cloud. Oh, the printer will still work offline, and it prints fast from local slices loaded on the SD card, but you cannot download models from Bambu MakerWorld without creating an account, in-browser or in-slicer.
I was thinking about getting a new 3D printer for a while cause the old one was.... Functional, but I couldn't print in place, blue tape was a requirement and tolerances could be measured with a ruler
You watch one you tube review and suddenly all recommended videos are 3d printing, so I bought a Bambu A1
It seemed the best value/reliability/ease of use/print quality combination out of all the ones the YouTubers were talking about, as one of them put it it's the printer for people who have a making things hobby, not a 3D printing hobby. I very much am not into tweaking the hardware, did that enough with the first printer
I also got the AMS lite because it looked cool, I thought it would be more gimmick than function, but I'm appreciating it more than I thought I would. The multicolour printing is nice but what I really love is I can print in purple, then yellow, then back to purple, now some black and green and back to purple again without having to switch spools. It's just nice to print in more than one colour
It did have to go sideways to fit in the cupboard but it's all nice and tidy. I spent the first couple of weeks printing storage and organisation things (multiboard! Thanks YouTube) and also keychains... My keys now rattle a lot more than they did

Recently made some prints and really enjoyed this one that is going to be used for one of my installations! Really liked the way the filament made it look like a topography model! Made the model myself in blender
Print time was 11hrs
