1. The single most obvious thing: actions would have consequences outside of a single episode or arc. Quark would have to spend an episode or two in jail after any given “Quark does a crime” ep. Etc. (What if they ever acknowledged Kassidy’s connection to the Maquis after she was a convenient distraction for Michael Eddington?)

2. The most specific example of this: Julian Bashir. I really really really wanted the show to handle his stupid savior complex in light of the fact that he had a huge medical intervention that changed his life WITHOUT HIS CONSENT AND AGAINST HIS WISHES. Why is he constantly doing the same thing to other people. I don’t even need him to stop doing it to other ppl as long as the show could fucking acknowledge how fucked up it was.

3. Obviously I wish they had not killed Jadzia to punish Terry Farrell for asking to work part-time. But selfishly I also wish we could have gotten Ezri Tigan as a darling queer un-joined Trill? Also I loved a bunch of the stuff they did with Ezri re: the distinction between host and symbiont, and wish we’d gotten more of it with Jadzia.

4. Ok so EVERYTHING ABOUT THE FOUNDERS AND GENDER IDENTITY AMIRITE? Like it is fundamentally implausible that a hive mind of goo creatures have gender identity. The ONLY reason they pretend to is because of Odo. The ONLY reason their main avatar is “the female changeling” is because they witness that Odo got brainwashed with weird gender shit by the Bajorans right? Could they have made that canon without like slut-shaming Kira for Odo’s attraction to her in that process? Can they acknowledge that it was not KIRA who gave Odo a gender but Dr. Mora and Gul Dukat?

5. Ok so this is a very small thing but it weighs on me constantly. Could someone have told Michael Eddington how wrong he was about Les Mis? Like did Michael Eddington read a crappy abridged version of Les Mis that left out everything related to Marius and Enjolras, literally the part of Les Mis that was most relevant to his whole situation? Is that the version of Les Mis he emailed Sisko? I... I think about this a lot. [possibly relevant: DS9 was the reason Small Molly read Les Mis. Small Molly, in fact, read Les Mis before she heard any of the musical outside “Bring Him Home”]

C - A ship you have never liked and probably never will (be nice): To be as conflict-free as possible, RedJim. I know some people ship it, but god, why? Red deserves so much better. Besides, Jim and Rebecca deserve each other.

A - Your current OTP(s)/OT3(s)/OTX(s): Star Wars is the fandom I’m currently exploring most, so Han/Leia is in my thoughts a lot. I could list more but I have a feeling I’m gonna be asked to do that later.

M - Say something genuinely nice about a ship that you don’t ship (or its shippers, or anything related to you): I don’t really ship SparksCroach without Red (mostly for fandom reasons, but also because RED IS IMPORTANT), but look, Marc and Mark are adorable and if they feel like kissing onstage again I will be the last person to complain.

O - Choose a song at random, which ship or character does it remind you of: Putting my music on shuffle gave me Heel Turn 2 by The Mountain Goats, which I think I first listened to about a year ago when I was really into the Portal musical, and…. listen… that is a Wheatley Song if I ever fucking heard one

I - Has tumblr caused you to stop liking any fandoms, if so, which and why: The WTNV fandom just became too much of a clusterfuck for me to put up with after a while – it kinda seemed like anyone who wasn’t a white supremacist (or an apologist for them) was too busy fighting the white supremacists to do much else. I live in fear that this is going to happen to other fandoms I’m in.

L - Say something genuinely nice about a character who isn’t one of your faves (chars you’re neutral on are fair game, as are chars you dislike): I was trying to think of TAH characters for this but everyone in SNMOM I either love or hate, so hey, I don’t think about Carter Caldwell that much and that is a crying shame. Get this man a nice boyfriend and stop throwing supernatural things at him, for goodness sake.

T - Do you have any hard and fast headcanons that you will die defending, about anything at all (gender identity, sexual or romantic orientation, extended family, sexual preferences like top/bottom/switch, relationship with poetry, seriously anything): Listen……… all your faves are bi. All of them. I don’t make the rules. (Boba Fett is gay though. The thing with Sintas was… a sad but important step in figuring this out.)

Cotillion: I read a lot of romance novels this year but this was by far my favourite - Georgette Heyer is a good pick if you want your romance novel heroes (and heroines) to be more of a Andy Dwyer type, which, I do, very much.
