bothering you with a question: imagine an alternate version of "Bagman" that involves Nacho. would you rather it be Nacho in Jimmy's place as the bagman, trudging through the desert with Mike? or Nacho in Mike's place as Gus's agent, trudging through the desert with Jimmy?
No, I think Mike and Jimmy work best. They have a great dynamic with Jimmy's pathetic whining and Mike being grumpy. It was very entertaining to watch.
Having said that, I do feel kind of robbed that we never got to see a conversation between Jimmy and Nacho when Nacho drives him back to the ice cream spot. I think that would have been a cool moment that could have been a "time machine" scene in the series finale. I also think it would call back nicely to the time Nacho appeared in Jimmy's office and tried to be criminal buddies with him. But maybe Jimmy just feels too threatened by Nacho to have philosophical conversations about time machines. Especially when Varga is constantly glaring at him like this:
If, however, you're asking me as a hypothetical which I'd prefer, as much as I love Mike and Nacho's bond, I think Jimmy and Nacho would work better. I can't see Nacho being whiny like Jimmy is and it wouldn't be as entertaining without Jimmy playing off someone else.
