is a beautiful historical building. More than 100 years old. Built in 1911 as a bakery. Already as a bakery it was huge. But it got expanded to produce more things. In the DDR times it supplied the whole east Berlin with bread. Also there is an atomic bomb protection bunker under it. It is rented to technology companies nowadays. But the building itself is preserved how it was back in the days.

Huge detour. I was on a smoke break downstairs at Backfabrik. Alone in a huge office. It’s too cold to go to the office anyway. Also everybody was in Leipzig for Leipzig- Belgrad game. So I took a long break. Somehow this tech people just never say hi. You see your neighbor, you say hi. Why not.

A girl was walking around. Worked at Backfabrik. I think. But also not sure. She looked like looking for something. Then a guy came out of one of the doors. She waited that he approached her and asked what that door was for. That’s the guard’s door.. The guy told her. She was like - Oh I always wondered what it was for. Oh interesting.. I learned something today - but he was already gone. She could have asked me. But she was flirting. And he had no idea.

I mean, I would have just talked back for the sake of it. Because when else are you gonna hear a pickup line like that. Also, today a guy was starting at me on another smoke break. I told him his laces were undone. He just tied them and went on. Tech people are weird. I mean, I would say thanks, if nothing else or smile.
