My repainted LoL OMG Tween Aya Cherry. As I mentioned in my previous post, featuring my repainted Ken Looks number 5. I am working on repainting a few of my fashion dolls. I am now done with Aya. I love this doll very much; I wasn't planning on repainting her, originally. I got two, to unbox one, but not usually when it comes to fashion dolls. I usually purchase two, to unbox one if they are either static figures I want to display, or fashion dolls I want to repaint. I just wanted to unbox Aya, because I like the default doll that much. My intention wasn't to repaint her.
Sadly, both of the Aya Cherry I found in stores had some level of damage. The one I kept in box has a bit of the eyeliner/lash-line messed up. This one had a chunk of cheek-blush missing. So, I kind of knew I would repaint her eventually, but that wasn't why I got two of her.
I haven't sealed her face yet, but I feel I am done with the repaint. I repainted her using acrylics only, since that's my favorite way to repaint all toys now. It took me only two days and a few hours each. I was thinking because she's a larger headed doll, than my preferred 12"-one-sixth-scale figures, I would take a lifetime to repaint her, but it went surprisingly faster for me, than with my 1:6 action figure repaints! I'm happy for now, I could have done a thousand times a cleaner job on her, but I am happy with her for now. I just need to seal the work and redress her. Hopefully, her bangs didn't get too messed up in the process. (:
