Theory about Wilmon (Andor Season 2 spoilers)
Wondering if Wilmon became a spy for the Partisans by the time he arrived on Yavin.
He was the only one who still had the emergency transmission box for the Axis network, showing he didn’t cut his ties with Luthen like Bix, Cassian, Vel, and Mon Mothma did.
We find out General Draven began spying on Saw in 2 BBY, the same year Wilmon arrived on Yavin, and Saw is aware that there are spies around him when arguing with Rebel High Command in 1 BBY. Not long before that, R4-C2 relays a message from Saw Gerrera to the Rebel Alliance. Makes you wonder whether that astromech droid was altered to do so. It just so happens that Wilmon has experience with machines, helping his father in the Repaak Salyard, building a bomb, and notably assembling the rhydo fuel siphon for Saw (which we know was complicated to operate).
Wilmon’s story, being radicalized by his father’s hanging and being on the run with the Ferrix survivors for a year or two after Ferrix was destroyed, that makes him perfect as a Partisan, and I don’t think he would’ve left for good after Saw recruited him the way that he did. We also see elements of Luthen shared throughout the network - Kleya had his intelligence and calm facade, Cassian learned how to become a leader through him, and I think Wilmon shared Luthen’s sense of having a “hand in every basket”, what with him being with the Axis Network, the Partisans, the Ghorman Front, and eventually the Rebel Alliance.
Just a fun theory, though I’m hoping it’s true
