Incom UT-60D vs UT-70L
Original diagram
I've been rotating this concept in my head for a while and I wanted to do a quick edit of what it would look like. I've always loved the U-Wing ever since Rogue One, but I felt that the fuselage proportions were a little stubby. Then I had a fanfic idea that required a small cargo transport ship, and this is what came from that. (Without the wings it almost reminds me of the AA-9 Freighter from Episode II.)
Actually, the version in my head also extends the fuselage rearward between the engines, halfway to their end, with a rear cargo ramp below the central reactor core. The latter would be raised up behind the cockpit. But showing that here would take more time and effort than I'm currently prepared for, so maybe later. Still needs to be fully greebled, too.
This variant would fit in the same overall footprint as the original but have a lot more room. Think of it as the station wagon version ;) Or, if the original is a Huey, this is a Chinook. The interior has two small cabins at the front behind the cockpit, then a refresher and galley at the front of the cargo bay. The one in my fic was outfitted as a medical transport, with an infirmary and a small bacta tank next to the refresher.
