I actually don't know much about the meta wrt Alastor and his father (I only recently learned that him being close with his mother is canon per word of god and not, like, popular fanon) but I think I head that most of the assumptions about him having resentful feelings towards his father were extrapolated, so I'm not sure how much of that I'm willing to write into my own headcanons, to be honest!

But also I will totally ship radioapple, haha. I like them as really weird queerplatonic hatefriends. They're so ♣️-coded to me, and poor Charlie is stuck in the middle as their auspistice and also the poor target of their combined attention. I think a lot of Alastor's canon dislike of Lucifer comes from his hackles getting incredibly raised by Charlie calling in someone more powerful and influential than him to judge and possibly help with the hotel, which Alastor sees as his project.

Fun fact: Apparently magic woods go and give the bows more enchantments. The bow now has Infinity and Flame. Terrifying.

Purpled knew exactly what the woods are, he was feeling spiteful and was a bit pissed off at the three so he did what any normal person would do, use their wands to make a bow.

What either happens is that the three of them have to awkwardly explain to their parents that Purpled use their wands to make a bow or Purpled takes pity and scams some people so that they just get new wands themselves. The former probably happens.

You can hide for as long as you want love, but they’ll always find you in due time.

Honestly though that whole concept was why I put so much effort into it I think- just having to imagine this whole experience and how scary it can be made the angst brain go brrr~

Alright, so, first up, we have the medically and historically accurate book series: the Montogue(?) siblings.

The first book is The Gentleman's guide to Vice and Virtue, where we have POC representation, along with accurate medical history and knowledge, and a gay relationship, along with accurate depictions of racism, stigma around seizures, women having to fight to get a place in their profession and rank.

And then we have A Lady's Guide to Petticoats and Piracy. I have not finished this book yet, but-

ACE REPRESENTATION! HOLY FUCK, THE PROTAG IS A WOMAN AND ACE!!!!!! She wants to become a doctor, and goddamn, she WILL fight for her right to become one!

Next up, we have a more child friendly book, that I absolutely adore because of one character, and that is the Nevermoor series.

The first book, Nevermoor: The Trials of Morrigan Crow, revolves around our young Morrigan Crow, who was cursed from birth because of the day she was born. She was only sought to live until her 11th birthday, if I remember correctly, BUT, a stranger, wearing nothing but green clad clothing, sporting ridiculous looking ginger hair, comes to rescue her from her demise.

I won't tell anything else, as the second book's description would spoil some things.

Then we have The Kid Normal series. Honestly, this book is very middle school grade, but it's so fucking hilarious.

So, Kid Normal, aka Murphy Cooper, has to move once again to a different town because of his mom's job. All schools have started already, and Murphy has nowhere to go. Yet.... His mom stumbles across The School. She begs the principle, mr. Super, to allow her son to apply, under the geise of 'Help him fly.'

Won't tell anything else on that.

Now, before last series: Six of Crows duology.

Holy fuck. These two books. They fucking destroyed me, Anon. Crooked Kingdom especially. Like.... Holy fucking shit, bro. If you like magic, great character development, strong females, good trauma representation, PTSD representation, ADHD representation, dyslexia representation, MLM and bi boys, then I suggest you pick up the book! Though, trigger warning for the following:

Slavery

Brothels

Forced workers

Sex slaves

A whole lot of plague

And general violence and signs of racism, war and history.

Last book series I will suggest: The Raven Cycle.

Boi, where the fuck do I begin? The Raven Boys, Dream Thieves, Blue Lily, Lily Blue and The Raven King are such incredible books. They are character driven, plot thick stories, with mystery upon mystery, stories entwined in story, unreliable narrators, boys loving boys, trauma representation, Henrietta, class difference, magic, psychics, etc. If you liked what you heard, I suggest to pick it up. Cannot explain how amazing that book series is.
