okay so irl I'm a fourth year undergrad & half of my degree is transcription/archival work and historical linguistics. so half of iantos job, and then maybe torchwood three could hire fucking research staff to learn alien languages bc that feels like it could be useful ya know?

21. tell me one aspect of torchwood - canon or otherwise - that you think is overrated:
hm. well. overrated is all a matter of opinion ofc and you can like what you like etc but like. torchwood is really good for feels. its plot?? fucking terrible. abaddon was such an anti climax. no actual onscreen closure for the bilis manger plotline. grey came out of fucking nowhere, and miracle day....well. they're lucky I am gay and gwen gets a bazooka. actual plot coherence? torchwood has never heard of it.

oh godddd so many. okay. okay so I'm really pissed we only got alice and steven in CoE bc I think we could have had some GREAT dynamics there that isnt just "let's introduce them, create angst, and dip" because jack repeatedly trying to make contact with alice in s2 would fit the idea of him "trying to do things differently this time around", like repairing his relationship with alice!! also I really wish we had like. also would have liked to explore toshs bisexuality more! tosh deserves a nice non-evil girlfriend!
18. best platonic relationship?
okay this is hard bc I have THOUGHTS re. gwen: while I get where the plot was going with gwen/owen I'm actually rlly interested in them as best friends bc they would be INCREDIBLE. also gwen&jack should have been best friends and not like. weird romantic tension because Jack's a flirt, but he's not a home wrecker, and gwen loves rhys and really that whole thing needed to be treated better.
but, officially: jack and tosh. they were just. so good. I dont like CJH (the ep) but I rewatch the tosh&jack scenes I just. i love them ur honour.
