Heās such a walking dumpster fire king, and I love him for that. ā” I love pretty much every scene with him, but naming the top-5 was relatively easy ācause apparently, I have a thing for angry!āBito. So, hereās the list:
5. When hesmirks at people around him right before he becomes the JinchÅ«riki of the Ten-tails.Thatās a winnerās grin right there! This portrays his persona so well, himbeing a troll even when heās gambled with his life. Sure, he wants to save theworld, but heās just so majestically unapologetic about it. I know that itās hissmugness that made so many people misunderstand him + this attitude was probablya PR disaster for the Infinite Tsukuyomi BUT heās just so entertaining there.
4. āIām noone. I donāt want to be anyone.ā This line sends chills down my spine. Iactually find Obitoās anti-identity philosophy super interesting, and whilst ahuge part of it is just his wicked sense of drama speaking, this says a lotabout the way he views humanity, and essentially, it explains why he sees theInfinite Tsukuyomi as the only option to save the world: he wants to reject hisidentity in order to reject any self-interest. In his mind, as long as peopleneed to share a world, there canāt be peace because of the said egotism. We canāttell for sure whether the JinchÅ«riki can be inside the genjutsu or does thispower come with the responsibility of keeping everything in check. But it wouldmake so much sense that the JinchÅ«riki wonāt be able to have their personaldream. If thatās the case, Obito has to lose his identity because itās theonly way for him to make sure that heās able to take care of the sleepingworld. He canāt have self-interest.
3. Obitostalking at Kakashi in the Konoha graveyard. For shipping reasons, Iām so gladthat this is actual canon and this does explain how Obito knew so much. Butalso, thereās a rare moment of him expressing his own feelings: he throws awaythe flowers Kakashi has brought. It showcases how he feels towards the world. Hedoesnāt aim his anger at Kakashi, he kinda aims his rage at the flowers, the symbolsof death. His issue with the world is that anyone living in it will die, atleast eventually. This is why he never tried to bring Rin back. The problem forhim is that all good will fade away as long as time and death exist.
2. Obitovs. the Mist ninja since it is The Darkest And Edgiest moment in the entireseries. Now, I returned to the series back in 2017 after some years of notfollowing the plot, but I had a good insight to the series. I used to loveShippuuden in my wild youth. And guaranteed, it was obvious to me that theseries had some dark stuff in it, but the Mist ninja scene took things on nextlevel, like, in comparison everything else seems so tame, and those tamemoments include someone falling eyelessly backwards into their death and such..But oh daemn, the Mist ninja scene captured something so crucial about yourworld shattering right in front of you ā and was so accurate about the shockand The Blind Rage that comes right after. Like. Pheww!
1. WhenObito threw up blood on Kakashi after their fight in Kamuiās dimention. Iāmpretty convinced that this was the moment when I had to admit to myself that Iam, in fact, shipping these two, probably because of Kakashiās hand was shaking so badafter that. Iād never seen Kakashi being so full of emotion. But thereās moreto it because this scene is also such a fine Obito moment. Heās seeminglydefeated, but weāre already starting to see that thereās a catch. I really lovethe way how this TOP-10 Anime Pukes scene lets Obito be disgraceful (the voiceacting really does justice for this scene) and yet, nothing about him seems defeatedat all. Itās a weirdly badass. I love how Obito had his ugly moments becausethat is essentially what makes him feel like a real character instead of anarchetype.
