Im an artyst
Average Art is an industry focused art zine. Our goal is to draw attention to self representing artists.
The AVERAGE ART MAGAZINE is featuring the artist´s draft entitled "CARTOONS NEVER TOLD #007" in it´s february edition. The edition will be published on 15th february 2018. In this serial the artist is working with trivial codes deriving from cartoons merging it with high culture codes used in fine art drawings. Even elements of digital daily live like emojis are included. The easy-access cartoon language with it´s speech bubbles containing words, sentences, even symbols charges and challenges the long tradition of drawing in art history with it´s century-old meanings and messages in which every stroke is full of traditional perception. By mixing digital used language with often direct message infusion to the reader with analogue-created paper-and-pencil work, Joas Nebe is opening a new dimension of expression to the spectator. The magazine is 'industry focused' and will be sent to a number of different art organisations in the hope that the featured artists will gain some recognition for there work. averageart.co.uk/magazine.html
