pov: your ticket is booked and you can't wait to go home, but you've got two exams and an essay before then. it's dark by 4pm and all you do is study and nap, things are feeling heavy but the Christmas break will help. you set up on your bed to study and listen to your roommates making hot chocolate in the kitchen. there's a Christmas fair you want to go to but you have to study, maybe you'll go if you finish your paper and have enough time (maybe you'll all stay up all night doing your makeup at the kitchen table). there's condensation on the windows and you stay in the shower for a few minutes longer and you always forget your umbrella. you don't think you've ever laughed in this way before, with the warmth bursting from your chest, but you're crying more than usual and that hurts more too. you're independent and alone and drifting but grounded and surrounded and kinda thriving. 12 days til you can sleep in your childhood bed again

Been feeling low and lazy today, with no will of achieving any actual productivity, though studied about the muscle contraction and its physiology, with whichever energy I had left.
📚 also, finally started reading The Final Problem of sherlock, which I also have been skipping whenever I'm rereading sherlock holmes
🎶 all too well (10 min version) playing during hard study got my subconscious mind into thinking of the outside world as a realm of autumn forest and autumn leaves and the warm sun without even me realising it, anyone else?

Cozy sweaters, hot drinks running down your cold throat warming up your stomach, leaves on the ground, it's getting dark earlier, halloween, watching tv shows in the dark, pumpkin everything, ... I wouldn't even know where to stop it's just my absolutely favourite season

23.09.21 // My EU statutes book arrived today so I’ve been having a flick through it to get familiar with it. There was a lovely quote on my tea today: ‘You are unlimited’
02/09/2019 ~ It felt really good to spend some time with my journal this week. For September I’ve decided to lean into a warm, autumnal aesthetic to match the new weather here. For this week, I’m sorting out a delay in my study visa application and contacting the bank and my insurance providers etc. Hopefully I’ll start some romantic literature reading too!
