i was asked server staff took down some auto art i made of my sona because "when you look up the term 'autosexual' it shows inappropriate stuff and there's minors in this server" (i am a minor, so this feels completely irrelevant to me). the only "NSFW" that shows up when you google autosexual is some sensual stock photos.
they let me refer to myself as just auto, but not autosexual. was also blocked by some users out of what im very sure was automesia (and some anti-objectum too...). safe to say i left and never interacted in either server that it happened in again.
its so exhausting because they kept telling me it wasnt queerphobic and its just a safety measure. i dont care what you say it is, my sexuality is being censored. and even if we found an agreement (i could just use the term auto), i absolutely did not feel welcome discussing my autosexuality there again.
This is automisia and general queerphobia.
That’s such a dumb argument considering you can find suggestive content when looking up any sexuality (and what is there is often safety guides). I hope you can find another more welcoming server.
