        { ✔ For a few seconds, it looked as if a dark tree had sprouted from his lower back, with curled and twisted branches reaching up to the sky. The illusion didn't last very long. With utmost precision, those 'branches' pierced through flesh and bone, accompanied with laughter. Laughter which died abruptly shortly after.         The ghoul that had been supposed to serve as his dinner was forgotten at once, Masashi's attention completely absorbed by an unexpected factor. Eyes narrowed, lips pulling into a grimace underneath his mask.

The problem of not going home some nights was then his cell phone battery died quickly through out the night. Well, it was just a old cheap flip phone so it didn't have the best charge hold but that didn't help his current problem.

Waking up on the bench with no battery and no clock around left him wondering what time it was. The sun was high in the sky but he had no clue how to tell time by that way. He would just have to ask someone. Standing up from the park bench he stretched a moment before catching the attention of the next passerby.

The words spilled out of his mouth before he realized they were about to be said. Tomi shut his eyes, listening hard to the people moving around the city in the night. This city, he knew this city well enough to know that a lot of it was a façade. These people knew nothing about each other but they pretended they did. 

It was disgusting.

He opened his eyes again and cast them skywards. These moments of his were rare, something he considered vulnerable. Even with the quinque briefcase in his hand, he felt like anybody could easily overpower him, even though, if the moment came down to it, he wouldn’t go down without a fight.

While living in the clouds, he ended up bumping into an unsuspecting person. While the impact hardly did anything, considering his size, he was shocked and shot his hand out to catch the other by the upper arm. 

'Oh! My fault. Excuse me.'

             The young ghoul had been minding her own business only              on that day. Her off day was spent with strolling through the              nearest mall and do what humans did. Touka obviously lost              interest in looking at incredibly expensive but still cute underwear              and nearly crying at how nice some piercings were. Ghoul's              couldn't just get their earlobes pierced after all.

             While pondering about where to get a ghoul who would help              her with body modifications, she happened to bump into a              massive guy. Suitcase in hand. The other's truly giant frame              threw her off so much that she almost fell onto her ass--              however, the dove had taken a hold of her arm which stopped              her. It also nearly gave her a heart attack.
