And then hides it away because it is not the time for it. Because even to Romana she will not show her weakness
Hearing about Gallifrey from the outside is so fun, because the relisten reaches a new episode and at first all you see is “LEELA” “LEELA 😭” and a ton of posts about Leela, all the tragedy she goes through (some of which I've now realised is actually from the previous episode), and you're like: wow, this is clearly a Leela episode and Romana and Narvin appear in maybe the last minute or so. Then the next person listens to the episode and it's all “Leela and Romana 😭”, “no but the way Romana (thing)”, and you're like: okay, clearly I underestimated the amount of Romana in this episode, seems like she actually has a bit of a bigger role and directly interacts with the Leela plot and also has her own stuff going on (she unlocks a new version of suicidality!). But then a few days later you see a post that's “OMG NARVIN IN THIS” and now you realise you have no clue what really happens in this audio or when or how important any of the events you've heard about actually are.
ROMANA: Well, then, perhaps... we'll start thinking about other friends who might be out there. NARVIN: The Doctor? ROMANA: Good grief, no. If I know him at all, and if he has any sense, he'll be far away from all this.
