Update: pain has lessened. My left shoulder (not the shoulder but rather the crook of my neck) hurts. I have been told it’s a bad sign since your arteries are there and your left arm carries your heart beat or something along those lines. The people who told me that are not doctors so...
Pain is still there.
Everytime I feel like I make progress with crossfit and the techniques et cetera, I get (minor) injuries.
When I first started crossfit in Januari, I had pain in my shoulders, probably it was my rotator cuff, and probably due to going too heavy too fast. After two weeks of rest I didn’t feel this anymore. And now, I do feel this pain again, especially when doing overhead things. It isn’t as bad as it was then but I still.
And also, now that I have finally mastered double unders (still need to work on the technique but I can string a few together), I get shin splints! I don’t know how bad they are, and am not entirely sure it is shin splints, because it felt different when I had them when I sustained them during running (2 years ago). But it is at the end of my shin, on the inside of my leg it feels so painful and when I use a foamroller, tears spring into my eyes.
I just hate this men. I feel like everytime I get pain in another part of the body and I feel like such a crybaby that every time I’m like “oh hey this hurts can I do this or that” and then “oh but that hurts too because yeah that is also probably not right somewhere in my body”
sigh. I just want to be strong and fit.
I think I am going to take next week off; no crossfit and no tennis (so far I’ve had one tennis lesson this semester, but the shoulder pain did start after that, I think... so maybe it’s related???? I hope so, so I can solve it easily: no more tennis ;p)
anybody else has problems like these?
