When you enter Sam's room, if you pay attention to the voice while reading the script on the ground, you'll find that instead of stopping himself like in the secret tape, he reads out the whole thing. albeit very painfully sounding and hesitantly

the fact that the script and camera are still in there, to me implies his rescue attempt of Rebecca happened very soon after.

In preparation for my next animatic, here's my refs for Sam and Rebecca when they were alive.

I’ve been a bit obsessed with Amanda the adventurer 2 now that it came out. I have a theory about Sam. Okay so we know that Hameln kinda kidnapped him and probably killed him as well, but how? Basically I think they hanged him and buried him in the forest. In the first tape if you type dad/Sam in the first question Amanda blocks for a moment and the tape is a bit bugged. Maybe it’s just me, but it shows someone’s legs, for me it looks like someone “floating”

I don’t think it’s a coincidence it appears only when you type Amanda’s dad name, maybe that’s exactly how he died. Then Hameln buried his body in the forest to hide it. In the tape where Amanda and wooly go to look for a treasure, if you choose a different direction instead of an old toy you get to see some clothes, that look like Sam’s clothes. Also Amanda looks really sad seeing them

Another thing is about the old version of Amanda, the tape with the same scenario: Amanda and wooly looking for a treasure. One of the tools they have is a rope. And when Amanda is about to say what they did with the rope the tape glitches

just made a catified ref for Sam! I haven’t shown a lot of my catified designs of ATA either I’ve realized, but to be fair a lot of the ATA characters were designed by my twin @thequasarwinds

I did just make a mini pseudo ref for Chickenscratch/Jordan so I’ll show that some time tomorrow or something. I also plan on making a ref concept for Wooly soon, his design was sorta a combined effort of me and my twin, but other then that if people want to see designs for a lot of the other ATA characters go to her blog!

as you can probably tell I’m a lot more use to drawing cats then people, I am cat artist and while I am trying to improve my skills in drawing humans I am not use to it ^^,

anyways I’m still working out the accessories and clothing that Sam will have, but I actual had the basic concept for his patterns and colors for almost two years at this point, I just finally got around to the actual ref! I wanted him to have very warm yet relatively soft colors, with round markings and a heart shape motif for a lot of them, all to reflect his personality. His eyes are meant to simply loot soft and welcoming and I wanted it to look starkly different then the eyes of two other characters not from ATA, as he plays an important role in a crossover AU I have! But his eyes are mostly like that to reflect his general calm, understanding, gentle and caring demeanor.
