Food textures sorta weird her out, and she doesn’t TECHNICALLY need to eat like, say, a human would? If/when she does eat she usually gets super small portions and avoids things that are too complex.

AHAHA funfact, the lightball has anger problems and they’re most often aimed at herself. She’s less likely to lose her temper when it comes to other people making mistakes and a lot more likely to get angry with herself for not being absolutely perfect with something.

24. What is their sleeping pattern like? Do they snore? What do they like to sleep on? A soft or hard mattress?

She can sleep anywhere, really, and the most natural way for her to do that is floating in space without a physical form. It’s how she recharges.

2: their smile

Straea has a very small soft smile. Sometimes it’s hard to see, and she sometimes seems emotionless because she has a hard time adjusting to human emoting. She’s an alien shapeshifter who isn’t used to having a physical form, even after sticking in a human one most of the time for more than a year now.

11: their family life

HAHAHA oh man all her family is dead friendo. She’s the last of her kind, only Lightwalker left alive. What family she has is the friends she’s made, and that’s the best-girl-friend, boyfriend, and ‘don’t do the thing’ ‘i’mma do the thing’ ‘STOP THAT NO’ friend. There are others, but those are the big three.

20: their reaction to a mystery love letter

Confusion. She doesn’t get it. She brings it up to a friend like ‘why would someone send me this i do not understand’ and when it’s explained she’d probably blush and ask everyone she knows if they know who sent it.

25: why you enjoy them

Tali: pansexual panromantic. not poly but not a fan of closed relationships. being what she is, she’s a very passionate person, and while she tends not to be romantically interested in multiple people, she does tend to have multiple sexual interests. If whoever she is romantically invested in doesn’t feel comfortable with that, she respects their wishes.

Cin: heterosexual aromantic. not big on commitment to one sexual partner so I guess that makes her either poly or open. Parker is probably the only person she’s slept with more than once, mostly because their lives are pretty much stuck together at this point.

Parker: bisexual panromanitc. not poly but considering the only person he’s really ‘with’ in any sense of the term is Cin, not the jealous type either. doesn’t push for a romantic relationship with her, but doesn’t really consider himself available for anyone because he views himself as in a relationship with Cin.

Astraea: Demisexual panromantic. Being a genderless nonphysical being of light tends to make sexual relations interesting. holding a very detailed (see also: internal organs/blood vessels/etc) human shape has had some effect on sexual orientation but mostly because there’s a physical form to experience the attraction. It’s complicated for the lightball.

Brigh: Bisexual with a leaning towards women. Biromantic. Poly yes. Very open and carefree attitude. Sorta afraid of commitment and tends to avoid serious relationships for fear of fucking things up royally. 

Melody: questioning on both fronts, whatwith not having really existed with the mental capacity to really figure that stuff out for herself. Heterosexual at the very least, considering the intensity to which she is attracted to her boyfriend and the (decidedly sorta weird) way in which she is attracted to the guy who sorta tried to kill her.

lightwalkers communicate in a purely visual way. patterns of flashing lights of different wavelengths. while each one has a ‘base’ color that is /them/ and not one they change, they shift colors based on emotion. this makes it incredibly difficult for them to lie to each other.

they can shapeshift, from giant.... wispy star-like creatures into whatever. They don’t tend to enjoy holding solid forms, and it takes a lot of practice to be able to stay solid for extended periods of time, but it comes with the upside of easier communication with varying forms of life.

they learn incredibly fast. Almost unbelievably fast. Languages, magic, technology, you name it. You could almost say the learn at the speed of light. (This is an incredibly lame pun I am ashamed and my character is ashamed)

Lightwalkers have no gender. To be honest, they think gender is a very silly, limiting thing, because no two individuals are the same, why are you trying to group them like this. If they are trying to blend in somewhere that has genders to pick from, they’re more likely to choose one at random than sit and think it over and try and find one that ‘fits’

Lacking physical forms means that physical contact is incredibly strange to them. And by strange I mean if they’ve shifted into a solid form, they’re likely hypersensitive to touch.
