People always want to know what I do. Well... I do a bunch of things across many different industries. BUT, my favorite thing is partnering with organizations that build strong communities and invest in our youth. I once thought the YMCA was a place to workout and learn to play sports or swim. It is SO MUCH MORE! This is my 1st year on their Board of Directors and I’m excited! If you have a child in high school, take a look at their Youth & Government Program. Almost 4,000 High Schoolers that have been receiving mentoring and training in government will spend a day in Sacramento at the States Capital to observe Legislative and Court in action on the Assembly floor. They will observe Senators and Assemblymembers in action as they discuss bills and prioritize what’s next for California. This is how you get young people in involved. It starts with an understanding of how government works and where they fit. Become a part of you local Y today. A team from Epoch Media Group spent two days in the #1000islands - Seaway region. They have been hired by the region, made up of Oswego, Jefferson and St. Lawrence County to capture and communicate the visitor experience here.
