Husband's death! Four young children! A dilapidated home! Then, help arrived.
The plight of a family living in Chauri village, Sirmaur district, Himachal Pradesh, has moved everyone deeply. Geeta Kashyap, the head of the family, is raising her four young children amidst extremely difficult circumstances. Her husband passed away recently, leaving the entire responsibility of the family on her shoulders.
The family was forced to live in a makeshift house with broken walls, rooms that became damp and flooded with water during the rains, and amidst severe financial hardship. With no steady source of income, they were barely scraping by with the help of relatives.
The 'SA News Himachal' team closely documented the family's actual living conditions. Geeta shared that after her husband's death, she was deeply worried about her children's future and meeting their daily needs.
In these trying times, the 'Annapurna Muhim' (Annapurna Campaign)—an initiative led by Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj—emerged as a ray of hope for the family. After assessing their situation, the team provided them with rations and other essential relief supplies to help meet their basic needs.
Through the 'Annapurna Muhim,' needy families living in dire circumstances are identified. Following an assessment, eligible families receive necessary assistance on a regular basis.
