Uh, just checking, but consciously copying the behaviours of others is something everyone does, right? Something everyone remembers doing as a child? Right? Right?

Finding comfort in chewing things right now. This is my chew
Why don't I understand it when people use metaphors and other phrases
Like "water under the bridge"
Or (as a nurse just said)
"Captive audience"
Is it a mental thing? An ASD thing? Help me out here.
I actually spend a considerable amount of time being afraid someone finds out how little I care about people in general and how often I have to remind myself to show interest in them because I naturally have none.
Today I saw the new therapist for a second time and she half-decided that I'm somewhere on the autism spectrum? Maybe some sort of mild aspergers? I think she's wrong, but it was definitely a little weird how aspects of my personality lined up such that she made that connection.

Alright, well... I don't like it when tumblrs get too personal, so it's hypocritical of me to post this, but here's the thing. Â A "professional" recently suggested to me that I could be on the Autism spectrum. Â Whatever that really means. She left me to do my own research. Â Some of the characteristics I've seen attributed to Autism are: "Talks excessively about one or two topics" and "obsessions with objects, ideas, or desires." Â So... maybe that's why my interests are pretty narrow-ish? Â For example, that I only like two or three bands at a time and stuff like that? Â But, I still like having a Tumblr. Â I just feel self-conscious about how repetitive and slow it is. Â But I feel a bit better, having written out these feelings. Â Even though I don't think anyone comes to Tumblr to read these kinds of posts.
I am so tired and worn out from being in that noisy class room I really hate this.Â
