"Aurora" - Veruca Salt

This is one of those songs that I haven't heard in 15 or 20 years, but I hear the chorus in my head, all the time.  I don't think I even listened to it that much, originally.  I didn't have this album.  I can't remember where I did hear it.  Maybe on a mix tape?  

I had a different song in my head, I thought it was Björk's song, also called "Aurora," so I listened to that, but it wasn't the song in my head.  I gave the Veruca Salt tune a listen, but it wasn't that, either.  I think it's some kind of amalgamation of the two.  

i've been going to the chiropractor the last couple of months.  still deciding if this discipline is legit or not.  

went in a couple weeks ago.  the doc asked me if i'd been doing the "five exercises" they gave me, but they'd only given me two.  she said she'd give me the rest, but she forgot, and then the office was closed for the holidays.  i did some googling, found out the exercises were from a specific book, and the book was available at the library.

so, when i came back for my next appointment, and told the doc i'd found the exercises, she said, "you're stealing my tricks!"  she was trying to be jokey, but i could tell she was speaking her true feelings.  

i feel like... she is indicating a couple of things: a) she wants to get paid for stuff that can be had for free, b) she is belittling me for being smart.  it was smart, that i knew how to find those exercises, on my own.  but she is calling it "stealing tricks," to make it seem negative.  

on a seperate note, i thought she told me that the guy who co-wrote the aforementioned book had a "nice penis," because she whispered it, and that's what it sounded like.  but, then, she added, "like he does a lot of squats," so maybe she was saying, "nice ass."   

oh yeah.  also?  she put me face-down on the adjustment table right after some girl with a cold, and i wasn't thinking clearly, so i went with it, but now i have a low-grade fever and what feels like the beginnings of a scratchy throat.  i'm not too thrilled with this shit.  just got over a fever/cold.  and i work with babies and stuff, so if i have a cold, i maybe shouldn't risk spreading it to them.  i'm going to be even more pissed if i have to cancel a bunch of work.  

i don't think i'll go back to this chiropractor.  but she's giving me like six free sessions, to make up for having a different doctor at her clinic do most of my previous adjustments, and not do a good job.  nice girl, just not adept at adjusting.

oh, but you know what could have caused the sickness?  i got my braces off at the orthodonist yesterday, and, at the end, the girl with her hands in my mouth, said she was feeling "off."  Fuck that shit!
