Your pooh and mickey comic is the first time i have ever felt genuine affection for mickey mouse. I was like "damn. Is isnt mickeys fault that his face become a symbol for corporate greed across the world, or that people immediately made him into a horror show the second his ip was released. He just wanted to have fun on his boat with his buddies!!!" Heres hoping he can have some genuine good times with Tigger and Pooh
I think that everyone who worked on Steamboat Willie went into it with the best intentions and I really do think it’s a loss that cultural icons are twisted into brand ambassadors.
The version of Mickey I’ve always loved is the one from the two epic Mickey games. Those games had edge but so much soul and were really engaging for me as a kid who wanted everything to have the same tone as sonic adventure 2!
The Tigger comic is coming along nicely but I got carried away drawing a lot of backgrounds so nobody expect it to be as in the zeitgeist as the last comic
