I'm not that great with titles, but for the fic title game:
"It happened on a boat"
it happened on a boat [yoongi/jin, ensemble]
"And you told him...?" "No," Yoongi says. "Obviously." "Obviously." Jimin nods. "So the fact that you're packing for a week-long fishing trip right now is totally a coincidence." Yoongi folds down over the table and groans. "I don't even like fishing," he says to the lacquered wood. "Or sailing," Jimin offers. "Or sailing." God. What is he doing with his life? When did everything go so wrong and why is it always something to do with Kim Seokjin? A small, sympathetic hand pats his shoulder. "It's okay, hyung," says Jimin, mirth coloring his voice. "I'm sure it'll be fine." (It's not fine. It's not even a little bit fine.)
Yoongi doesn't like sailing and doesn't like fishing and has no desire to spend his scant handful of vacation days in a rickety old sailboat off the coast of Jeju. Unfortunately, Yoongi does like Seokjin—likes him a lot, far more than Seokjin likes him—which is why, when Seokjin's sailing partner bails on him last minute, Yoongi is all to easily convinced to come along. A week on the water—cramped quarters, cooking their own catch, refusing to swim in the clear summer sea. What could go wrong?
As it turns out, everything.
.
a classic pining-while-fucking friends-to-lovers not-actually-unrequited pining romcom where yoonjin are on a boat and then not on a boat and left to deal with figuring themselves out again when what happens in Jeju does not, despite their best efforts, stay in Jeju.
