So sorry for the delayed response... work has been hard...

I don’t mind at all! :)

After I finished S1 - S3 a couple of times I had the character, “Earth”, pop into my head while waiting for S4. Once I stopped being lazy and started writing, I was going to ditch the name.

I knew I wanted my Lucifer fanfic story to be a reader insert because I felt that there was just so little of them out there, but I couldn’t get the name “Earth” out of my mind.

I, personally, always pause, like a millisecond, whenever I read a reader insert that has y/n l/n. Very slightly distracting for me. @theliveshipparagon ‘s “Hello Partner” story was the first one I saw to give the reader a “name”, and I loved it and I find it works really well! 

So, I kept the reader’s name “Earth”, but I’m making sure not to give any more details. I want my readers to still imagine this story as them or whoever, so in the future there might be some h/c or e/c. 

As far as why the reader’s name is “Earth”…well, that’ll be answered later on. It’s not a super spoiler to her story, but I’d rather wait for it to be answered in the story! :)

He’s doing something he rarely does, which is to gather the jagged pieces of his life with Eddie and his life without, bring them central and see them in close proximity. It would be much nicer to talk about lovely things, about the kids and winter fun and the next Game Night. Instead, Steve keeps a steady gaze set on Eddie and says, ‘Tell me a secret about me.’
