Asher laughed a bit at that reply " Yeah. Because that's usually what you do. Why do you think I brought it up." Asher remarked, then rolled his eyes. He wouldn't have expected much else from Darius at this point. Even though it had been some years. The other was always pulling him on a rope. Either along for the ride or tying him to a post and asking that he WAIT for Darius to get over his latest bout of wanting to reject everything that loved him. Asher crossed his arms over his chest, then brought the fingers of his right hand up to rub along his own jawline, thinking to himself for a moment.
As Darius spoke on, he listened, eyes glancing to one side. He knew he would have to save himself. He usually did, Darius could have saved him. And did, quietly, unknowingly, in most cases. Because Asher knew the other didn't have much guts when it came to playing the actual hero. A man convinced he has no heart tended to make far too many mistakes to be a heroic figure to anyone. Not that Darius wanted such a look, clearly. Asher didn't want that either. It wouldn't be Darius any other way. But, the other pulled away so often, it was hard to see Darius, in all the masks he had tried to put on.
Reaching out toward Darius then, Asher places his hand gently over the others face, his index and ring fingers over Darius' eyes directly, blocking the others vision partially " You could start, by taking off the masks you made for yourself, to hide from reality." His hand pulled away, the skin starting to rot away to the bone, followed by the rest of his arm. Asher didn't seem to notice it as he dropped his hand to his side, smiling at Darius then " I don't care about any of that. I have known you since I was ten years old. You often choose the wrong option if you are given them.” Asher frowned a bit.
Looking away then he sighs " You should maybe start doing the opposite of what you think is best for you. It's seemed to work in the past." Turning away, Asher moved toward a chair, taking a seat then, he places his hands out on the arm rests, his fingers on each hand drumming along the armrests excitedly then. The rotting boney hand of his grotesquely so " Remember, you chose to kidnap me. You went away to the Human world, with Alice, instead staying here. And in the end, it was always your second choices, that saved you more. You chose to feel bad for kidnapping me. You then returned me. You convince yourself you have no feelings, but..."
His head dropped suddenly as if he had lost all mobility in it " Think about it...What was the next thing you did. You ran off to be with Alice. Then you came back, and realized you loved me and not her. Or is that...the story you tell all your boys." Asher commented, his head lifting a little bit eyes turning to look toward the reader, glowing purple, a smirk spreading over his lips. Then he looked toward Darius again " You forget, though. I am not generic, Darius. I will be gentle. I will be rough. I will be here for you. Always, even if I have to wait for you to take off those masks."
"I will be honest with you. To make you see that you're capable of more than what you give yourself credit for. I won't cower away, or run. I respect you enough to, give you what you want. As well as what you need, even if it's only what you think you need. I'm a challenge, Darius. You aren't awarded trophies by backing down and hiding in the shadows." Standing then he walked over toward the other once more leaning in he brought his hands toward the others face, gently holding his hands against the sides of Darius’ head, his own face moving in closer toward the other "It's never too late to apologize for a wrong. There's always time to be remorseful for doing terrible things."
Asher pressed his forehead toward Darius', skin rotting away the longer he touches Darius, his bones showing " But I never asked for your apology. I forgive you. Because I do, love you. I forgive you. I forgive your stupidity. Your need to prove I don't need you. Your being scared of being with me. I don't care, because I loved you. I loved you till the day, I died." Boney hands pressed to the side of Darius' face then, gripping onto the other before Asher moved in to kiss the other male, for a moment, before the bottom part of his face rotted away to nothing more but bone against the others skin. Asher pulled away then, eyes staring at the other " Get out of your head, and be with me. Save me."
