I was so disappointed when I read about that, especially about roxane
like the student didn’t even say her books were bad. they’re not! like I said, she has a niche she’s comfortable in, her formula ain’t broke, though now it’s kinda boring, and she’s still getting bank. her books are fine.
but are they a level worth being put on required reading in universities? not really! unless we can get critical about it, then sure! but other than that her books have no depth and no impact to the literary world. and the fact that this knowledge hurt her so bad that she went full white woman and got this girl run off of social media and all the authors flocking around her and wiping away her tears and kissing her ass blows my fucking mind.
like sis get the fuck over yourself, your books are for teenage girls and that’s not a bad thing. it’s not! grow a thicker skin, you’re still rich and a bestselling author so why you mad.

i wish they’d gone with monica rambeau’s captain marvel but if they had to do carol, i really wish they had chosen someone older. brie just seems too young for this role.
Young, inexperienced and very rigid which is not Carol at all. I agree, the casting is totally off. Brie does have the looks and the potential but maybe in 5-10 years with more acting experience she could do it. They should have gone with Monica but lol Hollywhite strikes again.

i thought she straight up killed prudence via hanging. i'm relieved that's not the case but the rest of this sounds tiresome. if i end up watching it, (b/c i'm weak for witches) i won't watch it on netflix.
it is REALLY tiresome. prudence is portrayed sympathetically eventually and does get a larger role, but the series as a whole is still a lot of white ppl nonsense. i’ve heard that the charmed reboot is good for witchy content, though! all three of the sisters are woc (witches of color) this time around, so i’m gonna go check that out

15. If you write OC’s, how do you decide on their names?Generally I have an idea of the kind of sounds I want for the character, like hard, one syllable names or flowy multi syllable names, then I just look at baby name sites until I find something that feels like the character. The character usually will tell me their name. Sometimes if I have an extensive backstory, then I’ll think of what their parents might have named them and why, then go from there.
23. Do you prefer listening to music when you’re writing or do you need silence?Depends on the situation? Like most of the time I like having background noise and music is helpful to build a rhythm to the scene, but other times I am having trouble hearing the characters, so I need it silent to focus and get their voices out. But most of the time I do prefer music.

yah i feel like that’s ONE of the things Delos has planned. i think Delos is using Westworld and the other 5 parks for a myriad of different things tbh.
on the Delos website you can see that they make the guests sign a waiver stating that any human dna left in Westworld belongs to the Delos corporation which...........is kinda weird and VERY specific. and screams CLONING.
also in Futureworld, the sequel to the original Westworld, the hosts were used to replace major world leaders for total world domination. that could be something they’re planning on doing on the show as well.
@arsonarsenal yea I definitely agree. It was A Lot, almost too much. It felt like there were about six different endings alone. like they tried to cram too much in one movie
