I redrew @nyyght's Arrydhalia as a child, and my OC @solexstras when he was 12 years old. I bet Arrydhalia was happy to see her best friend Alphus at school. Meanwhile, Sol was wishing in the earlier years that he was very much away from his parents in a safer space.
Once Arya gets on the ship to Bravos, and we watch her sail away...that should have been the last time we see her in the story...period. She sailed so far out of the plot, thst her story no longer fits into the larger narrative in any capacity. Plus, I think that is actually quite a satisfying conclusion to her story...that Arya "gets out"..so to speak.
I understand that she is one of GRRM's favorite characters to write, but if I could talk to him and convince of just one thing to help the writing process..it would be be to completely dump all Arya chapters.
Instead her story should continue in smaller novellas or just a series all to herself...like a spin-off, where there can be occasional cross-over with our main characters.
However, in the main series of ASOIAF, her character out ran its usefulness to the plot, long long ago.
