-Batman (Demon Bat)-
"What's wrong? Scared?"
And what if you just go ahead and rip my fucking heart out, what about it? 🥲
If I had a nickel for every time a VR game in the Batman Arkham series had Batman attack and take down Dick Grayson without knowing it, I’d have two nickels, which isn’t a lot but it’s wild that it happened in both games asdfghjsk
The ghost of you is close to me

I really want a VR version of Gotham Knights, a small side game like the Batman Arkham one
Playing Arkham VR taught me that meeting the Joker face to face is just about the most unpleasant experience ever. In other news, Water is wet.
Jason Todd/Arkham Knight Headcanon
Okay, so after re-reading this post the other night, something popped into my head. (Spoiler alert for Arkham VR & Batman Arkham Knight incoming, beware.)
If you’ve seen or played Arkham VR, you know you can hear Jason screaming when you get to the asylum and into intensive treatment. It’s horrible, it’s awful and it’s really difficult to listen to.
Just imagine what that kind of screaming does to your vocal cords, though. How severe the tissue damage would be after months of straining your voice. What if he permanently damaged his vocal cords so his voice was hoarse for the rest of his life? You wouldn’t hear it through the helmet because of the voice distorter, and you wouldn’t realize he couldn’t project.
In the Arkham!verse, there’s no Lazarus Pit to heal any of his injuries so the scars Joker, Harley and the rest of them inflicted would always be there.
To that effect, I think he’d continue to use the helmet and voice distorter as the Red Hood because his voice lacks the strength to be authoritative and the volume to be effective. Only the helmet can amplify it enough for people to take him seriously.
