Piano Concerto in C Major, Antonio Salieri. Â My sweetheart Salieri, who had just enough talent to recognize the genius in others but not enough talent to reach those heights himself. Â But this piano concerto is gorgeous, especially the Andantino at 16:00. The pianist, Heeguin Kim, is a marvel, completely transported by the music. Â
19. Â the last song you had stuck in your head
When my husband gets home from work, he will put his things away, make a cup of tea, check the mail, and because of the nature of his job, he won’t feel like talking for a while. (Two active phone calls with three calls on hold and four people waiting to see him is a typical day at the office for the poor guy.) And although he’s not chatty, he’s generally pleasant and in a good mood and will be humming or singing something to himself.  This week it’s been “If I Only Had a Brain.”  And whatever he hums gets stuck in my head, only it’s been the lyrics to “If I Only Had a Heart.”Â

Oh geez, this is more embarrassing than the whole wrock thing, but it’s “Tipsy” by J-Kwon.  It’s a horrible misogynistic song, I know, but despite my age I can still do body rolls and I can drop it low and all the other moves I probably shouldn’t be doing (and that I would never EVER let anyone else see), but it’s still so damn much fun.

right? i’ve been assuming s9 will be happy but also...desperately bittersweet, however Clara winds up going (and - this isn’t spoilers, just DW being what it is; i can’t imagine her going for another season after this) altho not soul-crushingly sad, since Moffat has a relatively light touch with this sort of thing. and it’s such a lovely, happy-but-bittersweet song with distinct movements and i am CONVINCED it will work, i will do it (she says, not having futzed with video editing software since 2007, speaking on video footage that does not exist)

Just then, when I was showing off my Doctor Who funko pop collection to my sister, and she stalked out shouting “nerd!”
2. If there was one memory you could re-live because it was such a GOOD memory, what would it be?
Hmm, there was this one time during ward rounds when the consultant asked me to examine the patient, and I made some House-like deductions based on stuff lying around on the patient’s side-table, and I got a pat on the head for my observational skills. (I’ve always been a bit of a teacher’s pet).
3. Tell me about a feature (physical/personality trait/skill) that people always commend you for:
They say I have a very reassuring face. I have no idea what that means.

At the moment? Tumblr.
5. You’ve got a day of guilt free spare time, what do you do?
Go shopping for craft supplies. In particular yarn and fabric.
6. Do you prefer to be indoors or outdoors?
Outdoors, but only if I’m wearing adequate sun protection.
7. Who is your favourite Disney character, and why?
Mulan, because she is Chinese like I am, and she embodies many of the traits I value most in a person (perseverance, resilience, honour). Oh, and also because she has Mushu for a sidekick.

I’m listening to Thrift Shop by Macklemore on repeat. It’s driving my sister nuts.
9. Fandom life aside, do you have any hobbies? What are they?
I think I have too many hobbies. Sewing, cross-stitch embroidery, baking, building model aircrafts, to name a few.

Umm, I hope this doesn’t make me sound like a creep, but there’s something about Jenna Coleman’s face that just makes me feel all warm and fuzzy on the inside. It’s like looking at a particularly beautiful piece of art. Okay I sound like a total creep.

I hope you get your shower! My husband showers early and rinses his feet in the bathtub before bed... Shower right before bed is the only way to guarantee I'll fall asleep though.
I did get my shower, just a bit before midnight. My whole back ached from the cat nap I took on the floor. Sometimes I rinse my feet in the sink, but there’s always a risk I’ll sprain something because the sink’s quite high up, and I’ve got very poor flexibility.
