novel mimi had to be nerfed because if apocalymon was actually for real about their motivations mimi giving them one iota of compassion would've solved everything.

also the lore in the novel is absolutely buck wild. aside from the heavy leaning into apocalymon being like, 1,000% antithetical to existence itself, i kind of prefer the order of events in it too (really feels like a second draft of 01).

but yeah there's this whole thing about them being an anthropomorphized "idea" from the beginning of the digital world, basically the antithesis of evolution. i hate that it kind of makes that pretentious monologue about the "demiurge" make a bit more sense in tri.
