Also, its not like he *succeeds* but Aodhan is the right combo of talented, determined, and unhinged to eventually cause the second magical lab experiment gone horribly wrong (he mostly was an unwitting test subject working under his long-time mentor the first time so that one isn't really on him) in so many decades by trying to fuck with time.
Sometimes I worry (though less so now than when he first was created) hes OP and such but also fuck it. He's just prodigiously talented because his mentor was a lich who hand selected him for his potential and then gave him an incredibly comprehensive and exhaustive private magical education (ignore the part where he's being used as a test subject and/or intending to eventually be bodyjacked once his mentors body breaks down enough he cant go into public anymore) as part of a plan to build a superweapon. Fuck it.
