can we talk about how INSANELY good ILIUM is shaping up to be???
like we're not even getting the full thing yet and somehow every snippet, every reveal, every little piece of information has me staring at a wall for twenty minutes afterwards and sometimes bawling my eyes out too.pp
jorge somehow looked at one of the most tragic stories ever told and went "you know what this needs? emotional damage. more emotional damage." and honestly i respect the commitment.
Every new thing from ILIUM feels like the work of someone who knows exactly how to grab your heart and throw it directly into the mediterranean.
DON'T EVEN GET ME STARTED on the characters. achilles? hector? patroclus? the gods? are you kidding me?
every time i hear a snippet i'm sitting there like "wow this sounds incredible" immediately followed by "oh this is going to ruin my life when the full song comes out."
genuinely convinced that when ILIUM releases we're all going to emerge from the experience as different people. worse people, perhaps. sadder people, definitely. but different people nonetheless.
i can already feel the emotional devastation approaching at high speed at and I'm not ready for it at all. No one is.
