I was thinking about Anders today and like - one thing I often forget about him (because I just never run into it in any game I've played) is that you get friendship points with him for selling Fenris back into Slavery. Real classy guy there. And there was this short fancomic I saw once from a Fenris/Anders shipper (reblogged and mocked by an anti-Anders blog) years ago about Danarius offering Anders power (and help liberating more mages from the Circle) if he handed over Fenris and Anders blows up and is like 'YOU THINK I WOULD SURRENDER SOMEONE TO CHAINS LIKE THAT?!" Or something over the top like that. And like, he did approve of it. A nd the thing is, Some people really argue that the 'Friendship for selling Fenris into Slavery' is kind of out of place for Anders, just someone applying friendship/rivalry points without thinking and you can make that case, since it's a bit extreme even for Anders, but equally - people like that exist. Anders is very much that person on tumblr or twitter who makes a very narrow and very specific band of activism his entire personality. He even has the whole part where he's bigoted on other fronts. He may be Bi in the game, but what he reminds me of is like, one of those white gays who pretty much only cares about gay and lesbian issues (and maybe bi issues when he wants to attack Ace or trans people) but he's transphobic and doesn't actually care about women's issues beyond Lesbian-ness virtue-signaling type stuff, and he's sexist and racist and so forth.
