This is nothing less than horrifying.

A must read.
“There are so many things we can do, if we focus on anti-knowledge.”
-Nassim Nicholas Taleb
Perry, Romney, and Bachman (somehow) are the frontrunners for the GOP. Perry believes that climate change and evolution are hooey, Romney won't comment, and Bachman believes that the earthquakes and hurricane Irene are acts of god. This article doesn't touch on any of Bachman's beliefs, but focuses on the Perry and Romney. One of these two are most likely to be nominated since the GOP won't take a woman seriously after Palin's grand entrance.
So it’s now highly likely that the presidential candidate of one of our two major political parties will either be a man who believes what he wants to believe, even in the teeth of scientific evidence, or a man who pretends to believe whatever he thinks the party’s base wants him to believe.
