Adam is made to be placed in different environments; not only the digital files are on the cloud and be accessible wherever you need, also the architectural unit itself could be built and move everywhere, and in the Ante pavilion scenario, being on interlocking cuboid floats along the Regent’s canal in Haggerston. The interior space is divided in a working area with a desk, a bench and a storage area. Natural light is filtered by the polycarbonate panels from the front, the side and the back of the unit, maintaining the right amount of light for a working space and a good level of privacy at the same time. Adam could be part of a series of a system of units defining a community of coworkers that can share the same public space and common facilities like a possible special unit as kitchen and toilet. The idea is to lower the CO2 impact in the future and build system in order to preserve the environment. Materials used for the assembly of the unit are recyclable and sustainable. The volume is quite compact: 2,5mx4mx3m, the geometries are rationalized to simplify the production of the unit itself. A timber frame system is standing on a steel hollow frame used as basement, the timber frame supports the envelope of riveted brushed aluminum panels, thermal insulation layer, vapor barrier, timber panels and internal plasterboard as finishing.
