oooh, I love coming with that sort of thing! in fact, some of them I might eventually yet lather into an SRPG Studio project-- but to name one my favorite ideas that I haven't come up with too much else for: a Fire Emblem title with merchant republics taking the center-stage.

merchant republics in Fire Emblem world have a bit of a tendency to be colorful-yet-irrelevant minor players in the world -- and it's a bit of a shame, because they potentially offer totally fresh political dynamics compared to the same old monarchic feudal politics. wouldn't we all love to see an assembly debate scene that's just as tense as your usual But How Will We Earn The King's Favor?

plus, with a premise like that, one could also throw in some more deeply engaged mechanics for naval combat, too!

#36 - Share a funny FE-related story, either ingame or not!

so, when Danved becomes playable in Radiant Dawn ch2-3, he claims that he will fight like ten men, right? in his exact words -- "In that case, let Danved join you. Danved is not a citizen of Crimea. Danved will fight like ten men."

anyway, back when I was doing a Radiant Dawn ironman, I ended up in a pretty raw spot in that map and had to have Danved tank a horde of mounted enemies, ever running in and cantoing out to keep the rotation fresh. Danved survived engagements from exactly 10 of them, before the 11th one finished him off.
