Do you like weird little Cambrian critters?? Well I got a pin for you! Say hello to Hallucigenia!

Hallucigenia is a weird little worm from the Cambrian period that has stumped scientists for decades since it's initial discovery in the Burgess Shale in 1911. It earned its name because of its "bizarre and dream-like" looks, and whether the spikes were the top or the bottom of the creature has been a topic of big debate up until recently. In 2015, fossils were found that included the head for the first time!

◤ To admit, he’s actually not looking too much like a hobo. Though, he has no idea where he even got this purple button-up. The pants were easy; he has to dress nice for work. But the dress shirt? That was pure luck, he’s sure of it. ◢

◤ And that’s how he finds himself waiting outside the Bluebell Diner, waiting for his fake date for their not-so-fake dinner. Now that he’s here, he realizes he might not even be able to identify her. Plenty of people have bright red hair. But nooo, he had to say thanks and hang up. Honestly, he had ended the call so quickly to make sure his saving grace didn’t cancel on him. ◢

◤ But now he’s worried he’s being stood up. He glances at his watch-- no, it’s not too late, it’s just a little bit early, actually, but he’s so damn nervous... ◢

◤ His breath fogs out as he tries to subtly scan people passing by. Yoba, he’s never doing a real date if this one makes him nervous enough. ◢

With winter coming in full swing, there was sure to be snow. Lo and behold, a thick sheet of white covered everything in sight with no sign of melting away any time soon. Despite them living on an island, the place got surprisingly cold during the winter season and Luke was thankful he owned the blacksmiths where he could stand near the forge to keep warm. 

He had to come by every now and then, as an owner should, and help out as best he could. Plus, he still had to train Ann on what needed to be done as the new boss of the business. However, Luke became quite distracted by the snow that was now piling up to window height. He frowned as he stood at the window in the front of the blacksmiths with his arms crossed over his chest.
