◤ You would think, as a responsible adult with plenty of things on his shoulders, Sebastian would not dare to add any more weight to his life with things like pettiness and snide comments at the tax of those who have only slightly wronged him. You’d be partially right. ◢

◤ He’s not making snide comments because someone wronged him, exactly. No, he’s making them purely to continue what he sees as a trend in this relationship between himself and... Jake? That’s the name, yes? ◢

◤ “Weather’s nice,” he mumbles, because he’s just close enough for the guy to hear, considering they’re both wandering around the same convenient store. “Li’l bit of a breeze, good thing there’s no leaves blowing around.” That’s weak, and he knows it. But hey, if this guy wants to hate him, why not play into the part? Funny, how one little flare of his temper ended up gaining him an enemy. Easy. ◢

◤ Why Sebastian has such a morbid desire to play into a role solely to be hated is unknown, but the answer is probably very troubling. “Gotta wait for fall for that.” ◢

It almost happens, just because he’s thin, but he catches himself in time when he sees the hair he doesn’t recognize, the arms around him he definitely does not recognize. ◢

◤ Sebastian’s stiff the moment he gets this tall idiot wrapping his arms around him. He didn’t even say anything to warrant this, right? Why the hell is he being hugged, he didn’t ask to be hugged, why does this person think they can touch him??? ◢

◤ Then the guy says something like thank you, and Sebastian figures he said something vaguely nice. Something the guy clearly needed, if his unnecessary affection is anything to go by. ◢

◤ It’s been a hot minute since Sebastian has graced Arcadia with his presence solely to fuck around with his magic. It almost feels like it’s pent up, stirring under his skin and hoping to be let out easily. Sort of like releasing pressure from tanks or... something. ◢

◤ He’s basically floating down the street, for the most part. Drifting, or maybe just taking really long steps to propel himself down the street. He won’t lie and say he’s inconspicuous... He’s going to catch a few eyes if he starts being a magical idiot like he is, but that’s fine. For today. ◢

◤ “’Scuse me,” he says, pulling himself around someone else. His own little gravitational field might make their hair float away, and he winces. “Didn’t wanna run into you.” ◢

◤ Sebastian’s just trying to live his life, walking his dog... With Sam once again on a study spree (and probably hating life, if Seb has any competency when it comes to reading his husband’s mood), he had to take the leash and bring Zoey on her usual route. ◢

◤ Anyone who says they’re a morning person is a liar. This, Sebastian is a staunch believer of. If you’re a morning person, it’s because you sold your soul to some diabolical being. This doesn’t come naturally. The only reason Sebastian’s usually up earlier is because he doesn’t sleep well to begin with. ◢

◤ He looks at the clock flashing up from his phone and groans. Yup, he went to bed five hours ago, and here he is up again thanks to the alarm they’ve got set for Sam’s morning class. Sebastian isn’t about to fault Sam for having to get up early, but it sure is a pain in the ass. ◢

◤ “Babe, c’mon,” he murmurs, voice croaking as it tries to get out of its own slumber. “Need breakfast before you leave.” ◢

◤ He hears a groan, and the arms around his waist tighten, a mess of blond hair burrowing against his neck. He can’t make out the entire sentence, but he hears something along the lines of five more minutes. ◢

◤ “That’s cute.” It always is. “You need sustenance, Sam.” ◢
