Like Kim, Ann was one of the weakest girls of the group, although unlike Kim, there was some good qualities to her. For one, she showed a lot of improvement during her time in the show. Her runway got better and her confidence grew on camera. However, compared to how strong the cast was, Ann would obviously stand out as one of the weakest. Her 3 shots were horrible, the underwater shot felt uncomfortable and tense, the runway video shows her inexperience and inability to understand how to angle her face, and her dress was as tense as her first shot. However, she showed some signs of improvement with her stunning cat beauty shot. I was all for a huge improvement arc for Ann since her inexperience story could be a great arc. However, her elimination shot was as bad as her second shot, probably one of my least favorites from her. I though Ann did decent on set but considering how Angela was already being used for an improvement arc due to her inexperience like Ann. However, Angela was a likable narrator for the show, Ann was just forgettable. Ann was one of the weakest girls left in the competition and even with a great shot and signs of improvement, it didn’t make sense that she was raised to the top 7 over more worthy girls like Jan.

Ann is the only shot I don’t like and it’s a shame because she proved that she could do really well last week. It’s just so lazy. She’s trying to stand on top of Julian but instead somehow, she looks short here. She lose a leg and unlike Janny, she isn’t able to distract from that issue with her face (ignoring the hands weirdly between her crouch and one of them grabbing it). It’s just pure blankness, it’s a dead stare into the camera with no emotion to it whatsoever. I do blame the styling as well since all they did is slick back her hair and not even attempt to hide the bundle of hair behind her neck. Ann’s elimination made a lot of sense, despite the one good photo she had, she was always near the bottom of the pack and coasting by with averagely bad photos.

Ann finally stepped her game up to make a great shot! I like the different approach to the shot that Ann went for, instead of focusing mainly on her word, she decided to add the cat into the shot and make it more of a standout. Her shot may not be the word itself (desirable) but she nailed the photo either way. Her jawline looks awesome here and for once, I really like her facial expression. She looks so soft and the serious expression on her face, although she could afford to have a hint of a smile since she does have to be more sensual than the rest of the girls. Her pose is great though! She held onto the cat in a nice protective energy and it makes her stand out more among the group of shots this week. Ann really improved massively with a great shot!

Like Janny’s shot, my problem with it is how awkward it is. Ann didn’t really go with the theme at all, her pose lacks a lot of energy and style to it. I wish she went for a bit of a risk or at least tried some sort of movement instead of doing some 101 model pose (I excuse Ina for this reason because at least it looked like she’s about to do a pose). Her pose also has a ridged feeling to it as well, as if she’s holding up all the tension to her waist up. Her face is actually decent though. I like the subtle confidence of it and for once, her bone structure really shines here. Ann’s B2 makes a lot of sense and if things went my way, she would’ve been eliminated. Her potential was pretty limited and her lack of experience showed in all 3 photos shown.

Spoiler, this will be one of Ann’s better photos so that should set up how bad her portfolio’s going to be. This is especially a repeat of Jennifer from BNTM’s underwater shot, same pose and everything but with a different face. Like said shot, it looks so stiff and uncomfortable. She lifted her legs too far up so she looks very short and the overextended arms are way too stiff for my taste.  However, I can give her some props for going for a more commercial vibe with the shot. Her smile does look tight but I do like the joy in her eyes, plus the closed eyes was executed pretty well. It’s a meh shot but it’s one of Ann’s best in hindsight.
