Janny dominated this week and left no crumbs behind for anyone! No one was even close to her level! Janny already had such a boyish look to begin with and she embraced it perfectly. I adore the chilled out energy of the shot. The gentle way she’s holding onto Julian Culas and the soft hand on the knee (Julian is modeling but Janny overshadows her by far). I also like the nature of spreading her legs out (even though her and Julian’s legs are mushed together so it’s hard to find out who is what) so she nailed the androgynous part in her stance by giving off a hard stance to it. However, her face has a softness to it, I love the bedroom eyes and the pursed lips, it gives the shot a personality and makes it Janny’s shot instead of having Julian taking over. Janny was robbed of a FCO, it’s shocking how underrated it was even if it got 36 points, it’s one of the best of the cycle.

As always, Adela slays the photoshoot because of how versatile she is. I’ve living for how feminine yet masculine this shot is at the same time. The man-spread pose (remember when Buzzfeed made such a big deal about it?) was executed perfectly since she looks much taller than she already does and the hand between the legs don’t look awkward at all, it feels natural with the vibe of the shot. Her face is also awesome! I like the judgmental expression on her face, like she’s the hottest bitch of the group and she’s judging you for not being as cool as her. Adela did well once again and cements her frontrunner role as one of the best.

Shockingly, Blaise did really well at this shoot after 2 off-weeks. She embodied the theme really well, which is pretty expected since like Janny, she has the perfect boyish look for this type of shoot that had never been fully realized till now. The overstretched leg is a bit overdone (I wish she bent it a bit more) but she still convey a grungy stance by spreading herself out and connecting to Julian (who looks sickening here, god she looks awesome!). Her face is just awesome here as well, it reminds me of early Calvin Klein. It’s grungy, sexy, and the seductive yet bitchy look in her eye is stunning. Blaise came from under the radar to make a pretty great shot.

This is the point where Angela starts to get really overrated by the judges, getting a FCO for this. Although I am happy she is getting some love from the judges, I don’t get it for this shot. Not saying it’s bad, hell it’s good, but compared to the top 3 above, there’s something missing to it. I think it’s mostly the fact that it’s hard to tell who’s Julian or Angela. I only was able to figure out that Angela was the one with the arm tattoo, so she let her co-star overpower her. However, Angela did pretty good. She elongated herself well and despite turning her body away from the camera, she made it work due to the lift of the body and the confidence in the stance. Her face is also nice, her jawline especially and she has a very chic expression. It’s a simple and nice shot but it’s one of the more forgettable ones.

Ina legit looks like a hot guy here, I’m jealous honestly. However, it isn’t the best model shot. She doesn’t stand out among the rest of the girls and instead is Julian’s side prop. Her pose is fine, she nailed the relaxed laid back approach of the shoot and the lift of her face is nice. It highlights Ina’s bone structure and gives her some more definition. However, she isn’t doing enough. In a week as strong as this, she let herself be the co-star instead of the actual star of the shot. She could’ve pushed herself by standing above Julian or putting some more confidence and suave to her face. For now, it’s a boring yet unflawed shot and I wish Ina pushed it a bit more to pass by her co-star.

So funny enough, I had this in the top 3 but then I realize I mix up Aivie and Julian together, goes to show I’m fucking dumb I can be. See, Aivie is the one standing and you wouldn’t even notice that unless I told you. That’s my biggest problem with the shot. Aivie looks like a young school boy trying to take a photo but is too awkward to even try to. The unsure expression on her face and the tentative touch to Julian adds to the awkwardness of the shot. I can tell that she’s trying but it isn’t showing at all. Aivie failed horribly at this shoot and it’s semi shocking that she survived her bottom 2 this week, even if there was someone worse.

Ann is the only shot I don’t like and it’s a shame because she proved that she could do really well last week. It’s just so lazy. She’s trying to stand on top of Julian but instead somehow, she looks short here. She lose a leg and unlike Janny, she isn’t able to distract from that issue with her face (ignoring the hands weirdly between her crouch and one of them grabbing it). It’s just pure blankness, it’s a dead stare into the camera with no emotion to it whatsoever. I do blame the styling as well since all they did is slick back her hair and not even attempt to hide the bundle of hair behind her neck. Ann’s elimination made a lot of sense, despite the one good photo she had, she was always near the bottom of the pack and coasting by with averagely bad photos.
