Imagine Andiron happily playing near his favourite water well. Suddenly, the beast jumps out if it and attacks him with one of it´s terrifying claws. Andiron is an elf, elves have good reflexes, so he turns and starts running. He is not fast enough so the beast´s claws tear his shoulder´s and face´ skin. 

At that moment, Hearth turns back, runs towards home and screams for help. Mr.Anderman arrives, and  kills the beast. We know that part. This time, tho, Andiron is still alive. He is barely breathing, so his father takes him home, where they try to heal him. 

Andiron is in coma for two days, and when he wakes up, he can´t see a thing, either move a finger. He is really badly injured but he begs to see his brother. They have a huge bond but Hearth is the only one who hasn´t visited him. He discovers that Hearth has been outside all this time, peeling off the monster´ skin. That night, with the servant´s help he goes outside and helps his brother. Why not? Seeing that horrible creature dead feels good. His anger makes it easier to not faint. Of course their father discover him out of bed. He forbids them to see each other until Andiron is healthy again. 

While Hearth obeys his father ´cause of fear, Andiron won´t stop going out of his bedroom and infiltrating in his brother´s to spend the night. He is mad because his father is only angry with Hearth, who did nothing but scream for help. Even tho he is the second son, he takes the big bro rol. He protects him the best he can. He comunicates using the ASL, he plays with his brother and his runes, he gives him money so he can pay his debt and eat at the same time. When Hearth flies away he helps him. When Hearth comes back loking for help, he helps him. When Hearth says he is going to marry the dwarf, he fights with Freya because both want to organize everything. 

As you can see in the pictures, Andiron is a very happy elf. He fully enjoys his life even tho is face is destroyed and he is blind on one eye. He like to sing and play music (he has a band) and makes his best to make Hearth feel the music. 

He likes to lay on the beast´s fur. It makes him feel that he is over the trauma (he is not). He will happily talk about how he survived, but he will get an anxiety attack if he is too close to something with claws. He doesn´t like to be watched either, and it´s a feeling he always has. 

He screams, he runs, he jumps, he dances. He makes his parents thankful of Hearth´s calm and silence.
