The Most Pivotal Card in TCG History
Everyone has a different answer when you ask what the most important card in TCG history is. Some people will say Black Lotus, others will pick Pot of Greed or Professor Oak.
For me, it's Titus Rivendare.
Not because he's the strongest card ever made, but because of what he represents.
Titus doesn't win games on his own. He's a support card, but he completely changes the value of every Deathrattle card around him. One copy can take an average board and suddenly make it feel unstoppable. That's a level of influence that very few cards ever have.
What I find most interesting is how players talk about him. People don't usually say, "I need a Deathrattle support card." They just say, "I need Titus." The card has become the identity of the strategy, and I think that's a sign of brilliant design.
It also creates an interesting challenge for the developers. Every new Deathrattle minion has to be designed with Titus in mind, because doubling those effects can completely change how strong a card becomes. In that sense, Titus has shaped far more than just a few Battlegrounds metas.
Will everyone agree he's the most important card ever? Probably not—and that's part of the fun. But when I think about cards that have changed the way players build boards, evaluate mechanics, and even talk about the game, Titus Rivendare is always the first one that comes to mind.
I like her.
