I dont get it? like i understand the concept- clearly cycling inspired, the giro d'italia is the 2nd most prestigious stage cycling race after the tour de france, its a monza merch drop. the shirts are in the style of the cycling jerseys with the back pockets and everything. I would assume the polka dots are reference to the 'king of the mountains' climber's stage win jersey. obvs the red, white, and green are the italian flag. There mightve also been actual cycling jerseys and socks too??

but like, here's my thing-

Is cycling currently on everybody's mind rn? perhaps. the tour de france ended 2 weeks ago, tour de femmes ended on sunday. so it's present at least? I'd assume that there's a fair amount of crossover between f1 and cycling fans in europe?

but also- the giro d'italia is in may? And monza is the first weekend in september. so, idk besides it being in italy, i dont see the connection. Even the merc-italy connection, kimi- is he a known cyclist? A fan of cycling? additionally, the giro 'kotm' jersey isn't the red/white polka dot jersey like it is in the tour de france- its blue.

It just feels kind of random to me? It feels kind of flimsy. Like the little blurb for the collection on the merc website "Inspired by a passion for speed, Giro Di Mercedes brings together performance cycling apparel, everyday fanwear and iconic footwear in a limited-edition collection. Designed for every journey, on and off the track." And, okay??? Is there really the market for that tho?

Of the collections, Silver Arrows and Blue Wonder make sense to me. Y-3 isnt my style but I don't have a problem with it, it was a fun drop for Japan. (i might have even bought one of the jackets if it wasnt 900 american dollars, but thats neither here nor there). Neon is... for someone, im sure. Not me, but someone.

The giro di mercedes cap could be cute, with the polka dots under the brim but everything else? Is there a market? Would you, yes you, buy a merc branded t-shirt with pockets on the back or a red, white, and green merc cycling jersey? Am I just too american to understand the crossover?

Joker…that man is a FREAK when he interrogates people or kidnap or whatever he damn near straddles their lap and moves rhymicly to make them uncomfortable and confused so it can last a long time before they get to the point and anxiety and proximity and loss of thought at that and his invasive touches everywhere along with his sadomasochism is CRAZY

Batman is so pent up it’s hilarious and he tries to restrain everyone else to and rationalize that him being pent up is normal considering his life and if he just falls in love enough he might fall but he’s so scared that he just can’t
