All Grown Up

Teeth and Syrena have a complicated relationship. He is her bodyguard, meant to protect her physical body until a spirit called the Hound is ready to take it over. Growing up he was like a brother to her. He felt conflicted about his job….until Syrena ran away, leaving him to face brutal punishment from the Hound for letting its prized meat-suit escape. Teeth barely survived. He’s never forgiven Syrena for that.

Now they’ve reunited as adults. Though Syrena didn’t know what would happen to Teeth when she left, he considers their familial bond dead and regards her only as a pig for slaughter. That is, until he sees she has a new big brother/protector figure in her life (Amond). Teeth insists he doesn’t care that he’s been replaced.

But that’s not quite true.

Though as much as Kida tries to keep the existence of Rota for several reasons- she knows she cannot quite keep him hidden from his father, after all- Turles’ intentions aren’t always clear and that is enough for the poor mother to try her darnedest to keep her baby boy safe.

Unfortunately for her, somehow, Turles has caught wind of a child being under her care, of a certain age and carrying certain features that has him… curious.

All this time, he’s been thinking of what kind of legacy he could leave behind and lo and behold-
