Alphaland Baguio Mountain Lodges

Lately I've been seeing "pares" in some posts and I was curious about what it really is so I was surprised when Gian brought me to a paresan store. We had bone marrow, lechon kawali and fried rice which were very good!

Afterwards, Gian asked me where else would I want to go as that day was really unplanned. I jokingly told him that we could go to Ambuklao since the weather was fine. We were supposed to go there during v-day but decided not to. I wasn't expecting him to actually drive for hours but he did.

What was fun during the long drive was our conversations about BTS and Running Man (Jung Kook & Jong Kook). 😅

The place was calm when we arrived. It was scorching hot and windy. It was already our third time visiting the place so there wasn't anything new about it. The first two times we went there was during out Mt. Pulag side trips. This is also where our climb certificates were awarded. Such a nice view!

Also, it was timely and a good thing that I was wearing my transitional eyeglasses. Helped me enjoy the view without squinting too much on photos. 😅

There were only a few people that time. Mostly were Baguio locals just like us, para lang masabi na 'lumabas ng baguio' since there isn't much places to visit in the city anymore from the start of pandemic and also because it's still a challenge to travel outside due to the list of requirements.

It was nice looking at the ripples, crows hovering around the area, the tiny fishes on the shore and the boats moving side by side. We decided to leave early so we could arrive in Baguio before sunset.

As soon as we drove back to Baguio, I mentioned that I wanted to take photos on the convex mirrors since I saw at most 6 during our way to Ambuklao. I loved how Gian was so attentive of me and of it that he really stopped when we saw on our way back. It was a a little scary since it was located on the sharp curves.

And since it was a little too high, when Gian spotted a closer and shorter one, he stopped the car again just so we could take better photos.

Ambuklao Dam is located just 1.5-2 hours away from Baguio. I even remember saying, "parang nag-San Juan (elyu) na din tayo" because we missed going to the beach so much.
