yes!! like i have no idea what that is and in english it just makes me go "huh thats an interesting title" but in french it sounded super funny
Ah “I Have No Mouth And I Must Scream” is the title of a short story by a dude called Harlan Ellison, known mostly for being 1. very disturbing (or like that’s what most people say about it...I think I’ve read more fucked-up short stories than that one but yknow) and 2. pretty much the first story to have the Evil AI trope (”evil AI” like situations where computers turn against humans/humanity for whatever reason, HAL 9000 seems to be the character people always reference when talking about this but the computer from I Have No Mouth is in a story that was published one year before Space Odyssey came out, thus making it The First)
it’s also a somewhat popular expression amongst some people mostly ““internet nerds”“ as in nerds on the internet who know about speculative fiction writers n things. basically the phrase is “I must express intense frustration but cannot do this for whatever reason”. it looked funny on floral fabric to me.
