Jeans ripped, so I had to rip them some more
Think they're sufficiently torn up? Or do you just wanna tear them off me 🤭
Cuffs replaced after uuuuh idk how much, at least a year. Still I choose them too short so maybe I will replace them in future, but for now it's okay.
I did not changed the thread for visibility reasons, totally not because changing thread is pain in my ass.
AFSAJAKDJAKDJ I FINALLY FINISHED THEM, BEHOLD! MY STRAWBERRY BAGGY JEANS
These things took me like a month or two (i did have a lot of other stuff in between i had to do tho ^^')
Heres a before and after!(Before photo taken from the vinted listing i got them from originally cuz u think i actually thought that far ahead? XD)
Cant wait to style an outfit with these! Hehehehe am currently working on a strawberry themed outfit (woth these as the centre piece ofc >:3)
Anyways, heres some more below the read line if you want a more detailed look!
I have been quiet lately on the sewing/mending front, not because I wasn't sewing stuff, but because I was trying to finish the vest and trousers before the larp on Easter weekend. And I did. Thankfully. I'll post some pictures of them when they are dry again.
For now, here is how I altered the shirts I bought for the costume to fit me better:
Since it was a 1920's larp, I had to get the modern collars off, anyway. I then used that fabric to put gussets under the armpits, where the shirts were the most tight around the bust and hips. It was a good idea, and held up pretty well.
On a different note, I also realised that I could mend stuff with the machine instead of only by hand. I finally finished the mend on the crotch of my second pair of trousers. It's flimsy, stretchy material, so I don't know how long it'll hold, but I definitely see it as an experiment.
