Just a lil glimpse into some old jeans I’ve been customizing ;*

An update on my Frankie stein boots! I wanted to show how much my hand painted shoes held up without any touchups. This is after like 5 (or 6ish?) months of daily use through rain, shine, mud puddles and dirt (btw the last pic is when I had just finished painting them!)

Honestly I’m really surprised how well they’ve held up, I tried using a ratio with way more textile medium than I usually use. It took a lot of layering to get the colors as bright as I wanted them, but they hold up way better than my normal ratio

I have learned a lot with this process, using white as a base wasn’t a good idea on black boots I should’ve just not used a base, the lightning charms fell off so next time I should use way heftier loops, and the metallic marker I used for the shine did not hold up as well so I’ll have to figure out a way to make metallic gold with textile medium

I touched up the paint job, added some detachable chains and replaced the zipper as the BOTH original zippers broke lmao (check out my last video if you wanna see the process of that)
